Camp Invention
Camp Invention is coming to Southside Christian School! Led by local educators and designed to spark creativity and innovative thinking, campers bring their ideas to life and build confidence for through hands-on invention with friends.
Week 1: SPARK
Campers will:
- Ride the waves of entrepreneurship, splash into hands-on physics experiments and design an eye-catching billboard boat.
- Explore forensic science with robotic capybaras and create sleuthing gadgets to support their epic investigation.
- Spark their innovative superpowers, construct a wearable cryptography device and protect their intellectual property from the Infringers.
- Build their own DIY space rocket, launch a mission to transform a planet and record dazzling scientific observations in their space lab.
Week 2: ILLUMINATE
Campers will:
- Build a Glow Box and unravel the mysteries of light in LEDs, fiber optics and glowing animals in the biophysics lab.
- Blend athletics, design and entrepreneurship to create a unique sports ball and experiment with gravitational pull.
- Discover marine science technology, customize a lab-on-wheels and craft solutions to real-world water challenges across our planet.
- Spark fresh ideas as contestants on game show Prototyping Studio™, tackle challenges and transform invention spaces with a DIY toolbox.
