The Sabre Playhouse is proud to present Elf the Musical.
Join us for a heartwarming holiday adventure as Buddy the Elf brings his infectious Christmas cheer to New York City! Based on the beloved film, Elf the Musical is a joyful, laugh-out-loud celebration of family, friendship, and the magic of believing.
Presented by the middle and high school students of Southside Christian School, this festive production is appropriate for all ages, making it the perfect outing for families, friends, and anyone who loves a good dose of holiday spirit.
Before the show, enjoy concessions, caroling, and photo opportunities that bring the magic of the North Pole to life! We’re also partnering with the SCS School Student Government Association to host a Toy Drive, helping provide gifts for children and families who may need a little extra Christmas cheer this season.
Because the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!
The fine arts program provides students the opportunity to immerse themselves in their creative avenue of choice, with opportunities in theatre, band, string orchestra, vocal music, visual art, and handbells.
At SCS, we believe the arts are an essential element of a well-rounded education, and we value this creative development in our students. Because the arts utilize all areas of the brain and accommodate a variety of learning styles, all students can build beneficial skills including development of abstract thinking, diligence, cooperation, patience, discernment and social skills. Fine Arts skills are lifetime skills.
Through Fine Arts, our students are encouraged to express their God-given creativity and gifts. We believe God has given each student specific abilities to utilize in fulfilling His purpose, and as Christian educators, we have the privilege of guiding our students in discovering and developing their unique talents.
Our hope is that the Fine Arts will open the imagination of our students, speak to their soul, and encourage their curiosity, wonderment, and awe as they learn to reflect the image of God and honor Him with their gifts.
