Think a Christian education is out of financial reach?
A strong tuition assistance program supports Southside Christian School’s commitment to Christian education. More than $1,900,000 in assistance was awarded for the 2024-2025 school year, impacting nearly 350 students.
Receiving tuition assistance involves an additional application separate from the admissions application. We highly encourage you to complete your tuition assistance application immediately following the submission of an enrollment application if financial assistance is needed. SCS does not award scholarships based on merit or ability. Tuition Assistance awards are solely based on a family's financial need.

Alumni Discount
Southside Christian School values its alumni. SCS graduates are eligible for a 10% alumni discount - 15% for two married SCS alumni - applicable to each child enrolled. -
Family Discount
For a family with more than one child enrolled, discounts are given as follows: 2.5% off total tuition for a family with two students, 5% off total tuition for a family with three students, 7.5% off total tuition for a family with four students, 10% off total tuition for a family with five or more students. -
Referral Credit
A $250 referral credit is available to SCS families. For each new family who enrolls a full-time student and indicates your name as the referral on their application, your family will receive a $250 tuition credit on your school account in October of the enrollment year. If the new family enrolls more than one student, additional credits will apply.

How do I apply for tuition assistance?
Click here to begin your online tuition assistance application. Applicants can apply for tuition assistance at any point in the admissions process, but we can't award assistance until after your student has been accepted to Southside Christian School. -
Are students in all grade levels eligible for tuition assistance?
Families with students in Grades Kindergarten - 12 are eligible to apply for tuition assistance. Under certain circumstances, an award may be issued for a Pre-K 5 student. -
Could applying for tuition assistance lessen the chances of my child being accepted to SCS?
No. Enrollment applications and tuition assistance applications are reviewed separately. While we are not always able to meet a family's financial need, applying for assistance has no negative bearing on an applicant's admissibility. -
Is there a cap on available funds?
We encourage you to apply early once the application opens on November 1. Applications will continue to be considered as long as funds are available. -
How does SCS determine if a family is eligible for tuition assistance?
Southside Christian partners with Blackbaud Financial Aid Management, a third-party financial processor of tuition assistance applications for private schools and small colleges across the country. Award calculations consider numerous factors that make up a family's overall financial picture.
