Academics

High School

During the high school experience (grades 9-12), students are provided with a well-rounded college preparatory education rooted in a biblical worldview. Students have many opportunities to take advanced coursework, including honors, AP, and dual-enrollment, each led by accomplished faculty. Students attend either chapel or small groups every week, allowing them to concentrate on their spiritual growth. Students have opportunities to participate in athletic activities, fine arts, active student clubs, and student leadership roles. The school’s commitment –– whether focused on academic pursuits, spiritual formation, or extracurricular participation –– is ultimately grounded in a desire to develop young men and women of God who are prepared to positively impact the world around them.

Our portrait of a graduate includes students who are prepared academically, growing spiritually, able to speak articulately, possess leadership abilities, and have a humble attitude ready to learn more in the next season of life.
School hours are from 8:05 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. Early stay is available at 7:30 a.m.

Jeff and Sandi Summers, School Parents

We are so glad to have partnered with SCS for all four of our children. The biblically sound, Christian education they have received has been wonderful, and the safe environment in which they have learned has been unmatched. To be surrounded by loving teachers and faculty and be amongst good peer groups has been a great compliment to our parenting. We have such peace and confidence not only in their education, but also in their preparation for college and beyond.

Meet the High School Principal

Dr. Bob Stouffer has over 40 years of experience as an educator. He earned his bachelor’s degree in English from Winona State University, his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Northeast Missouri State, and his Ph.D in Educational Leadership from the University of Iowa. He has served as an English teacher, coach, associate principal, principal, superintendent, and Christian school board member. He holds a lifetime professional certificate from the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). He has served in public schools for 20 years and in Christian schools for over 20 years. He loves Christ-centered education, because it allows school members to freely express their faith so openly at school and include Christ and biblical truth in all curricular and extracurricular programs. His desire is to work with parents and students to discover the students’ unique passions, abilities, and callings to God’s kingdom work.
