  • Do you offer financial aid?

    A strong tuition assistance program supports Southside Christian School's commitment to Christian education. More than $1,700,000 in assistance was awarded for the 2023-2024 school year, impacting nearly 350 students. To learn more about tuition assistance, visit our tuition assistance page.
  • Do you provide after-school care?

    Sabre KidsTime offers after-school care for Pre-K 2 - 5th grade students with pick-up times at 4 p.m., 5 p.m., and 6 p.m. for a fee. Middle School students may register for a supervised study hall that operates until 5 p.m. for an added fee.
  • Do your students wear uniforms?

    We do not require our students to wear uniforms, but instead follow a dress code policy that encourages modesty, neatness, appropriateness, and respect.
  • Does the school offer a program to meet the needs of students with learning differences?

    Our Student Success Services (SSS) department offers many programs to assist the specific needs of students with learning differences. The program recognizes that each individual has been uniquely created by God and that learning takes place in a variety of ways. Visit our SSS page to learn more.
  • How is Southside Christian School accredited?

    We are accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and Cognia (formerly known as AdvancED). SCS was awarded Exemplary accreditation by ACSI in 2019, an honor currently bestowed upon fewer than 20 Christian schools in the world. Southside Christian School is also an approved Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) School, registered with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
  • Is your campus secure?

    Student safety is a top priority. We employ an off-duty Greenville County Deputy Sheriff during the school day. We are an ALICE certified organization. During the school day, buildings remain locked and there is a single entrance point for guests. We require all visitors to scan their IDs for a background check, and guests wear a visitor's badge while on campus.
  • Opportunities for learning outside the classroom?

    Many opportunities for clubs and activities are available to students in Grades 1-12. An annual week-long JTerm allows high school students to explore careers through internships, the world through international travel, and unique classes they might not otherwise experience in a traditional high school setting. Additional club opportunities include Club Invention, Chapter Chat Book Club, Makerspace GALS Club (Girls Advancing Leadership in STEM), Student Government, National Honor Society, BETA Club, Tri-M Music Honor Society, Drama, Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy, Chess club, Sabre Films and Stories, Scuba Club, and many others.
  • What ages and grades are there at Southside Christian School?

    Our school serves students ages Pre-K 2 through 12th grade. Students fall within one of four school segments, each with their respective principal and leadership team.
  • What are your average class sizes?

    Our Early Education classes are well under DSS standards. Our Elementary School classes average 20 or fewer students, and our Middle and High School class sizes depend on the academic level of the course, but administration is committed to keeping class sizes at 24 or fewer.
  • What fine arts opportunities do you offer?

    Our Fine Arts department includes band, choir, handbells, speech and debate, drama, visual arts, and strings. Through fine arts, our students are encouraged to express their God-given creativity and gifts. Visit our Fine Arts page to learn more.
  • What is a biblically integrated curriculum?

    A biblically integrated curriculum is the foundation for Christian worldview education. The curriculum is built around biblical truth found in Scripture. Through this framework, students learn to view the world through a biblical lens, enabling them to live productive and effective lives in service to Jesus.
  • What is your college acceptance rate?

    There is a 100 percent college acceptance rate among graduating seniors who pursue higher education.
  • What sports do you offer?

    Our athletic opportunities include basketball, baseball, cheerleading, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track and field, and volleyball. Visit our Athletics page to learn more.
  • What time does your school start?

    Our Early Education and Elementary school students begin class at 8:15 a.m. Our Middle and High School students begin first period at 8:05 a.m. For parents desiring early drop-off, the school opens at 7:30 a.m.
