Vocal Music

Students have many opportunities to be involved in vocal music. General music is offered to students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Middle and high schoolers have the option to take choir as an elective, performing in several public concerts throughout the year. Students may also audition for Sounds and Sabres, an elective course for high schoolers who wish to explore chamber music and small ensemble techniques. Grace Notes is our elective course offered to female high school students through auditions.

Instrumental Music

Like vocal music, students also have many opportunities in instrumental music. Beginning in 6th grade, students may take concert band or string orchestra as an elective. Middle school band and string orchestra are available for 7th and 8th graders, which include public performances throughout the year. High school concert band and string orchestra are elective courses for students in grades 9-12. The electives perform throughout the year, including the annual Spring Fine Arts Tour. Beginner handbells is an elective course offered to high schoolers, who may participate in advanced handbells by invitation.

Music Honors and AP Music Theory

We offer a music honors course for sophomore, junior, and senior students who want to explore more in music theory and history. Our AP Music Theory class is also available as a college level theory class that develops musicianship skills, including dictation, sight singing, and harmony.
