Southside Christian School
Crossing the Finish Line

Long before the rest of the campus wakes, the rhythmic thrum of sneakers hits the pavement. Southside Christian’s Cross Country runners are already at work.

This season hasn't been written in easy victories, but in the relentless perseverance forged over endless miles. It’s built in those quiet, grueling early morning practices, the long runs, and up-hills that test even the strongest determination. Yet, with every race, our student-athletes push past their limits, building a momentum that goes deeper than physical endurance. With hearts anchored in faith and minds set on the finish line, they are discovering what true grit looks like. Each stride is more than just a step toward a personal best. It’s a testimony of dedication, unity, and spirit that inspires our entire community long after they cross the finish line.

The Wind and the Willows

Get ready to be transported into a world of pure imagination and high-energy theatrical magic! Our Fine Arts Department is tackling one of its most daring and delightful endeavors yet, as our talented middle and high school performers take on The Wind in the Willows. Director Elisa Langdale gives us an insider look at the big energy, incredible music, and heart coming to the stage:

" The Wind in the Willows is one of the most ambitious productions our students have taken on in recent years, with challenging music and a whimsical world to create. At its heart, it’s a story of friendship, adventure, and finding your way home, following Mole, Rat, Badger, and Mr. Toad as his wild choices send them all on an unexpected journey. I’m excited to watch our middle and high school students rise to the challenge of bringing these beloved characters to life. I hope our audiences will take a chance on a musical they may not know and fall in love with this story just as I have."

Save the date to join us in the Fine Arts Center for The Wind and the Willows on November 12-14, 2026.

Leading by Example: All-Pro Dads

The early morning sunlight filters across the campus as our fathers walk hand-in-hand inside the school with their students. The quiet strength of fathers showing up for their kids is a highlight we cherish. Around every table, Sabre dads lean in, share laughs, study God’s Word, and have the kind of intentional conversations that build memories to last a lifetime.

These moments are made possible through All Pro Dads, a national non-profit fatherhood initiative that gives our families a dedicated space to pause, connect, and reflect on what it truly means to lead with faith and love. Day in and day out, we see these men pour into their children, not just with words, but through their steady presence and unwavering example. By centering their lives and households on Christ, our Sabre dads aren't just guiding their own families; they are casting a shadow of hope and leadership that reaches far into our entire community.

"Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it." - Proverbs 22:6 ESV
