AP Biology

Our AP Biology students took learning to the next level! For their exam, students used advanced lab techniques—polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and gel electrophoresis—made possible by our newly acquired lab equipment. They analyzed their own DNA to determine their genotype for the PTC taste gene, which affects sensitivity to bitter taste. With hands-on experience using professional-grade tools, students engaged in real science, built real skills, and experienced real learning!
