Meet the High School Guidance Counselor
Dr. Jessica Ruzicka is the SCS Academic/College Guidance Counselor, serving students and their parents with course selection and preparation for college application and admission. She is also responsible for daily scheduling, grade submissions, report cards, and transcripts for all of our students. Before coming to SCS in 2015, Dr. Ruzicka served for over 15 years in higher education working in the admissions, financial aid, and academic advising fields. She most recently served for ten years as the Assistant Director for Recruitment and Retention at Nova Southeastern University. She began her professional career working as a financial aid counselor at the University of Rochester in New York. She also serves as an online core adjunct professor in the School of Education at National University. Dr. Ruzicka holds an Ed.D. in organizational leadership from Nova Southeastern University, a M.A. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Rochester, and a B.S. in Psychology from Chatham University.
