High School Concert Band: excellent, 2nd place 1 A
High School String Orchestra: superior, 1st place 1 A, best overall

Festival of Music, Atlanta, Georgia 2018:

7th/8th grade mixed choir: good, 4th place 1 A
7th/8th grade concert band: excellent, 3rd place 1 A
7th/8th grade string orchestra: excellent, 2nd place 1 A

Carowinds Festival of Music, April 2019:

7th/8th grade string orchestra, band, and choir participated in the Carowinds Festival of Music in April. They were adjudicated by nationally known professional musicians and received an excellent, excellent, and a good ratings respectively. 

High School Fine Arts Tour, Orlando, Florida 2019:

The high school annual fine arts tour took us to Orlando, Florida to compete in the Music USA Festival at Universal Studios. Our band and orchestra received 1st place in our division and the choirs received 2nd place. In addition to competing in the festival, our students performed a service project concert at Give Kids the World, a specialized theme park for families with children with critical illnesses. 

Six Flags Over Georgia Festival of Music Esprit de Corps Award


Many of Southside Christian School students enrolled in the SCPM private musicians program participate in the South Carolina Federation Music Club’s Festival and receive consistent Superior and Excellent ratings.  Justin Harms, pianist, was chosen Best Performer and played in the Honors Recital at the Governors School.  

Many SCPM students auditioned and were selected to perform in both the lower school and upper school talent shows.
