After graduating from Southside Christian School in 2016, Kaylyn attended USC Upstate where she was a member of the softball team, student ambassadors, and Cru campus ministry.
She transferred to Columbia International University (CIU) in 2019, playing softball there as well. After graduating in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in General Students and a double minor in Criminal Justice and Biblical Studies, she coached at CIU for two seasons, taking the team to the NCAA World Series this past May.
In June 2022, she joined the staff with Athletes in Action as their Softball Director to launch a global softball ministry. Kaylyn also has a Masters of Organizational Leadership.
Kaylyn has had the opportunity to take three trips to the Middle East for softball missions work. She loves exploring new coffee shops, hiking, and spending time with friends and her dog, Dragyn.
Kaylyn says SCS “Instilled in me a desire to know the Lord on a personal level. I had amazing softball and basketball coaches in Eddie Holeman and Mike Johnson that had a tremendous impact on the athlete that I became but also the leader and person that I was as well. I was incredibly blessed by the way they cared about me as more than just another athlete and the spiritual part of growing as a team and being a light through our sports.”
