After graduating from SCS in 2014, Lauren Taylor (McCauley) attended North Greenville University where she received her BA in Early Childhood Education. She later became a kindergarten teacher at Veritas Preparatory School.
She also completed The Institute for Multi-Sensory Education’s Orton-Gillingham training and comprehensive certification. In addition to teaching kindergarten, she now tutors children with dyslexia and teaches them using the Orton-Gillingham approach.
She and her husband, Joshua, a 2013 graduate of SCS, recently had their first child, Jonathan, in December.
She loves spending time with her family and their dog, Mabel. She also enjoys baking in her free time.
Lauren says, “SCS provided me with incredible role models. I was surrounded by teachers that had a heart for the Lord and a desire to serve their students. That, to me, is true leadership. SCS also provided many opportunities to grow not only academically, but also creatively and spiritually. Some of my fondest memories are of Grace Notes and Sounds and Sabres, as well as Student Council. I will always be grateful for the education I received from SCS. It gave me a love and appreciation for Christian education.”
