An Update on the Next Early Education Principal

SCS
As you know, our current Early Education (EE) Principal Mrs. Harriett Neal announced her retirement last January. Her early announcement has allowed us sufficient time to find the candidate God has for leading the Early Education department for next school year.

We are grateful for Mrs. Neal's 17 years of ministry and leadership at SCS – first as a teacher, then as Assistant Principal, and then as EE Principal for the past 10 years. Her leadership in the EE division of SCS has been a tremendous blessing to hundreds of students, to dozens of teachers and classroom assistants, and to our entire school community. We are so thankful for her years of faithfully investing in young learners, helping them learn and grow both academically and spiritually.

Once again, God has provided. We are excited to announce that Mrs. Sara Jo Dillard will be our new EE Principal beginning this summer.

Mrs. Dillard comes to SCS after serving for the past 10 years as the Director of Early Education Services with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). ACSI is an international accrediting and professional development organization for Christian schools. While serving at ACSI, Mrs. Dillard has provided leadership and professional development for countless Early Education programs around the United States and other parts of the world.

However, Mrs. Dillard is no stranger to Southside Christian School. Before her calling to ACSI 10 years ago, Mrs. Dillard served the previous 20 years at SCS. In fact, she served as EE Principal during 14 of those 20 years. Mrs. Dillard has two children that graduated from SCS and currently has a granddaughter here in Pre-K 5.

We are so grateful for the many seasoned, mission-minded, and proven leaders God has brought to SCS. We are grateful God continues to provide those same kind of educational experts who have a focus on discipleship to help us accomplish our mission of providing an excellent education consistent with biblical truth.

Please extend a warm SCS welcome to Mrs. Dillard and congratulate Mrs. Neal on a new chapter of her life.
