SCS' Class of 2014 includes a National Merit Scholarship finalist, a US Presidential Scholar candidate, and five Palmetto Fellows Award recipients. Connor Clark, Casey Cunningham, Dylan Fillmore, Kalie Hopkins, and Margaret Webster have achieved these national and state honors.
Seven SCS students led by Idell Koury participated in the National Model Arab League Conference at Georgetown University. All seven students received awards, five receiving Outstanding Delegate honors. The SCS delegation also received one of two coveted Outstanding Delegation Certificates.
A team of SCS engineering students instructed by Susan LaFlam is one of 32 teams from across the country to earn $10,000 in scholarships and grants in the Lexus Eco Challenge, an educational program and contest that inspires and empowers students to learn about the environment and take action to improve it.
