Chad and Stephanie Alverson, Current parents
"It is an investment with a great return! What more can a parent offer their child than a Christ-based education and a safe place to grow academically, socially, and spiritually."
When did your children begin at Southside Christian School?
We became part of the Southside Christian School family in 2006 when Tillman was in Pre- K 3 and Tate was 18 months old.
Why did you choose to send them to Southside Christian School?
We chose Southside Christian School to partner with us in creating a great Christian foundation for our children while providing an education to prepare them for their future. We knew when we walked in the door that this was where we were supposed to be. From the first interview with the Early Education principal, we were certain that this was right for our children.
Do you feel like they are being prepared for college?
Absolutely! The workload is challenging yet fair. National test scores confirm that when families intentionally partner with their children’s school, they accomplish much. At SCS, their spiritual life is strengthened so that they are ready for new challenges when they arise in college and later in life.
Outside of Academics, how has Southside Christian School impacted their lives?
We do life with Southside Christian School families. Athletics and other activities are welcoming to new families while allowing students to build life-long, healthy, Christ-centered relationships. At a very young age, our children recognize that they are thankful for the environment at their school.
What would you say to a parent who might be considering sending their children to SCS?
It is an investment with a great return! What more can a parent offer their child than a Christ-based education and a safe place to grow academically, socially, and spiritually.
