HIGH SCHOOL NEWS
Sophomores and Juniors are scheduled to take the PSAT, a college readiness assessment developed by the same organization which administers the SAT, on Oct. 16. Students will test at SCS, Rocky Creek Baptist Church, or Cornerstone Baptist Church. The student assignment rosters have been posted on Renweb indicating each student’s specific location assignment and if the student will be driving his/her own vehicle (Student Driver) or riding an SCS bus (SCS Transportation). Students riding SCS transportation should plan to be loaded on the bus at SCS by 7:45 a.m. Student drivers should plan to arrive to their assigned off-campus location promptly at 8:05 a.m. All students will return to SCS classes once the test ends at approximately 12:00-12:30 p.m.
Students are encouraged to spend some time preparing for the PSAT. Research shows that by prepping for testing, students will see improved results. SCS uses Method Test Prep, which is a unique test prep service that is free for SCS students. Students complete a series of self-paced assessments that enable them to prepare for testing. To sign up for an account, click here.
