At Southside Christian School, we are dedicated to academic excellence and biblical truth. We believe academic excellence is the natural byproduct of a Christ-centered life. The pursuit of knowledge infused with biblical truth will equip our students to be godly and successful in college, career and life. This is our commitment.

Jesus said, "When a student is fully trained, he will be like his teacher." (Luke 6:40) Teachers are the architects of a school’s culture, and they serve as role models for their students. The Lord has graciously supplied SCS with teachers who are godly, gifted, credentialed, experienced, and relationally committed to spiritual and academic excellence. Both as the superintendent, and as a parent of two SCS graduates and one current student, I can attest to this fact!

Another tangible evidence of our commitment to academic excellence and biblical truth is the addition of the new Schroeder Science Lab. This new state-of-the-art lab is a place where our students will be able to worship God through the study of His creation and receive the highest level of college-preparatory science instruction. Many of our graduates are pursuing college majors in medicine and other scientific fields of study. Our vision is that our students will make lifetime commitments to wholeheartedly embrace biblical creation and to be actively pro-life as they take their faith into college and career.

This is an amazing time to be a part of God’s work through SCS! It is a joy to participate with God in the equipping of young lives to become His masterpieces (Ephesians 2:10).
