Why does Southside Christian School seek contributions? Isn’t tuition enough?
While the general rate of inflation has been modest in the United States for several years, the costs related to providing education have risen much more dramatically. Your gifts help restrain tuition increases which in turn keeps SCS as affordable as possible for as many families as possible. We believe more children should have the opportunity to receive a Christian education that challenges them to reach their full academic and developmental potential for the glory of God.
Why should my family consider giving to SCS?
SCS is a ministry serving the kingdom of God in the Greater Greenville area by educating young Christians who will help shape the future. As you learn more about the work done here, we believe you will agree that it is a worthy investment; an investment in the world in which our children and grandchildren will live; an investment in eternity. The results produced by your gifts are exponential and will impact lives for generations to come. SCS is a training ground for servants of Christ, producing graduates who go on to serve Him around the world.
How is SCS funded?
SCS is funded primarily by student tuition, fees, and the generous support of individuals who value excellent Christian education. We also pursue corporate and foundation gifts.
Does SCS have an annual audit?
SCS is audited annually. This years audit is being conducted by Martin and Lennon, Certified Public Accountants. This equips us to demonstrate that we maintain the highest standard of financial integrity.
