Ellen Kahue serves as the Explore Lab/Habitat Instructor for K5 and 1st grade students at Southside Christian School. In the past, she has taught kindergarten and worked as a teacher’s aide and substitute teacher.  She loves children and looks forward to learning and exploring alongside them each school year!

Mrs. Kahue graduated from Christopher Newport College in Virginia in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education specializing in science.

Mrs. Kahue and her husband, Mel, have been married for 27 years.  They have five children and three grandchildren.  Mrs. Kahue and her family love to boat, swim, and hike and camp in the Smoky Mountains.  She likes to garden, decorate, and play the hammer dulcimer.  She likes to eat at Carrabba's and to shop at Kohl’s.  Mrs. Kahue and her husband attend Grace Community Church. 

Mrs. Kahue’s favorite verse is Ephesians 1:3:  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.
