Robert C. Jones serves as the Assistant Principal for grades 7-12 at Southside Christian School.  Mr. Jones has been at SCS for 21 years.  He has taught a variety of science, math and fine arts classes.  Prior to coming to Southside, he taught at Bob Jones Elementary School.  He also taught at Woodruff Middle School and was the administrator at Pleasant Grove Christian Academy.

Mr. Jones graduated with a BS in elementary education from Bob Jones University and received a master’s degree from Furman University.  He has been named Who’s Who Among American Teachers and was named Secondary Teacher of the year in 1991.  He is ACSI certified.

Mr. Jones and his wife, Vicki, have two children, Cameron and McKenna.  His interests include landscaping, koi ponds, and watching his kids play sports.  He also enjoys drama and has been in several of the SCS dramatic productions including Oliver, Fiddler on the Roof, and Camelot.  He and his daughter, McKenna, also performed in the South Carolina Children’s Theatre production of Music Man, Aladdin and Annie.  He also appeared in Greenville Little Theater’s production of Fiddler on the Roof.  Mr. Jones enjoys eating at Arizona Steakhouse and Mexican restaurants.  He and his family attend Southside Fellowship. 

Mr. Jones’s life verse is Proverbs 3:5-6:  Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
