Debbie Irwin is the Director for the Academic Resource Center at Southside Christian School.  Prior to coming to Southside Christian, she taught at Princeton Christian School in Princeton, FL, and at Redlands Middle School in Homestead, FL.  She has over twenty years of teaching experience.

Mrs. Irwin holds an MS in reading and a BS in special education from Florida International University.  She was named Teacher of the Year in 1994 and has been nominated for Who's Who Among American Teachers.  She is ACSI certified in grades K-12.

Mrs. Irwin and her husband, Joe, have two daughters, Bethany and Sarah, both of whom attend Southside Christian.  Mrs. Irwin enjoys hiking, gardening, and being outdoors.  She and her family attend Southside Fellowship.

Mrs. Irwin's favorite verses are Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
