 Jo Dillard

Jo Dillard serves as the Early Education Principal at Southside Christian School. Realizing that the first eight years of a child’s life are the most formative, Mrs. Dillard has a God-given passion for working with young children. She also has a passion for training teachers in the area of their giftedness and enjoys helping each one develop their unique abilities and talents. This year is Mrs. Dillard’s seventeenth year at Southside Christian School.
Mrs. Dillard holds a BS degree in education from Winthrop University and an M. Ed. degree from Columbia International University. She received the Roy Lowrie Leadership Award from Columbia International University and currently serves as the chairman of the National Early Education Accreditation Commission for the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). She frequently speaks at conventions and teacher training seminars for ACSI.
Mrs. Dillard and her husband, Curt, have two grown children, both of whom graduated from SCS. Candace graduated from Anderson University and is employed with a local bank. Josh has served in the United States Army for the past three and one half years and will be attending college when he arrives home from Fort Drum.
Mrs. Dillard enjoys spending time on the lake with her family, reading, decorating her home, and exercising.
She and her husband attend CrossRoads Community Church.
Mrs. Dillard desires to live out Colossians 3:23: Whatever you do, work at it with all of your heart, as working for the Lord and not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
