Laura Plourde teaches K-4 at Southside Christian School.  Prior to teaching at SCS, she taught at the middle school level in public schools for four and a half years.  She has been teaching at SCS for seventeen years.  Her desire is to serve Christ with her whole heart as she daily teaches and ministers to the precious little ones that God entrusts to her.

Mrs. Plourde graduated from Clemson University in 1981 with a BA in elementary education.  She and her husband, Galen, have two children, Garison, a senior at Erskine College, and Julia, a student at Greenville Technical College.

Mrs. Plourde loves to play the piano and listen to contemporary praise and worship music in her spare time.  She likes to eat at Flat Rock Grille, Mimi’s Café, and Olive Garden, and she likes to shop at Stein Mart, Target, Kohl’s, and Hobby Lobby.  She and her family attend Southside Fellowship.

Mrs. Plourde’s favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 40:31:  But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
