It is unlikely that there has been a time in the 40 year history of Southside Christian School more full of opportunity than right now. 

The story of SCS will only become more exciting and glorifying to God as it unfolds.  Because of the growth of SCS and Southside Fellowship, the leaders of both ministries believe that God is doing something new and different; something that we will look back upon as a defining moment in the history of SCS.  After months of seeking God's will and evaluating numerous alternatives, many of which became dead-ends, we believe God opened a door of opportunity for us to launch SCS as an independent, community Christian school, serving the entire body of Christ in the Upstate. 

For such a time as this . . . we have established a team of leaders who will direct a capital campaign to raise funds toward the purchase of our campus from Southside Fellowship.  This leadership team is referred to as the “Campaign Cabinet.”  They will meet monthly for the duration of the campaign to plan and implement a successful strategy.  Each cabinet member will lead a committee devoted to a specific aspect of the campaign. 

The planning and assessment study we conducted indicated that SCS is positioned for a strong campaign, but it is important to lay a solid foundation, as this initiative will have impact that reaches far into our future.  The prayer committee is meeting regularly to go before the Giver of all gifts with a focus on ensuring that His plan is the one that guides all we do.
