Academics

Elementary School

Elementary School (Kindergarten-5th grade) is a time of critical growth in the lives of our children. Students develop academically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. At SCS, we provide students the biblical foundation for their future by equipping them with God-given skills and abilities in a challenging, supportive, and fun learning environment. Through the program students excel in their understanding of a biblical worldview, grow in relationships with one another, learn through interaction and engaging activities, and participate in co-curricular activities.
School hours are from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sabre Kids Time offers several options to meet the needs of your family after the school day. After school care is offered 3 to 4 p.m., 3 to 5:30 p.m. or 5:30 to 6 p.m. Early stay is offered from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m.

SCS has had an amazing impact on both of our girls spiritually, educationally and emotionally. They never missed a day! The teachers and staff are amazing! And the relationships they've developed with their classmates, will last a lifetime!

Meet the Elementary School Principal

Eric Alfrey has been working with students and families in Christian education for more than 30 years. He has taught middle and high school Bible, been a Christian school administrator, children’s pastor and served with international schools in China, Singapore, and Peru.

He has a bachelor’s degree from Liberty University in Christian Education and a master’s degree from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. He has been married to his wife Martha, who is an elementary teacher, since 1985. They have three grown children, one grandchild and another on the way.

It is Eric’s desire to see students come to know Christ and grow in Him. It is his goal to support teachers and parents in providing a safe and loving environment for children to reach their full potential in Christ so that they will fulfill Paul’s prayer in Philippians 1:9-11 to abound in love, knowledge and discernment discovering God’s best to bring Him glory.
