2001 - 2008 Grads

Shannen (Adair) Wirgau '01 is the lead P-3 teacher at Mt. Zion Christian School.  She and her husband are also youth pastors at Covenant Life Outreach Church.

 

Brian Adleman '01 was married in October 2004 and became an ordained youth pastor in October 2005.  He and his wife, Angela, live in Vinton, VA, where he serves as youth pastor at Grace Family Church.

 

Carl Austin '01 is being deployed to serve in Iraq beginning September 21.

 

Michael Benthall '01 is employed at A.G. Edwards. He married Meg Mays '02 on October 21, 2006.

 

Brian Fonville '01 is a student at USC Upstate.

 

Allyson Hale '01 works with InterVarsity at Boston College.

 

Natalie Johnson '01 is an elementary teacher at Hunter Street Elementary in York School District One.

 

Stefanie (MacDonald) Wadsworth '01 is married to Matt Wadsworth  '99. She is a nurse at Greenville Memorial in Labor and Delivery.

 

Ben Stoner ’01 is finishing a Master's in Professional Accounting at Clemson and works for Cherry, Bekaert, & Holland, a CPA firm in downtown Greenville.

   

Abigail Wolff ’01 is a senior at Columbia College in Columbia, SC, pursuing a degree in Speech Language Pathology.

 

Adam Young '01  is a medic in the US Army stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. Adam and his wife Sonja Humm Young, a citizen of Switzerland, were married in November 2007.

Meg Mays Benthall '02 teaches 1st grade at Southside Christian. She and Michael Benthall '01 were married on Oct 21, 2006.

 

Steven Baxter '02 graduated cum laude from the Citadel in 2006.  He finished basic officer training in the Marine Corps in January 2007.

 

Stephanie Childress '02 is a dispatcher for Greenville County EMS and is a volunteer firefighter with Belmont Fire Department.

 

Justin DeGarmo '02 will graduate from Clemson this summer with a degree in Professional Health after doing an internship with a dentist.

 

Ashley Hafer '02 graduated in 2006 from Anderson University with a degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. She is working as a full-time nanny, living in Manhattan (NYC).

 

Donna (Dodds) Stoner '02 works full-time for ACHI Investments.

 

Stefanie (MacDonald) Wadsworth '02 is pursuing a nursing career at USCU.

 

Katie Rexford '02 serves as an English teacher in China through Cedarville University.

 

Matthew Russell '02 graduated from the Army ROTC Leader Development and Assessment Course at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Washington. Matthew currently attends Clemson University.

 

Tiffany Scheivert '02 graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in May 2006.  She completed a B.S. in English with a minor in Spanish and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force.

 

Cody Spencer '02 works for Jackson-Dawson Motorsports as a performance specialist. In this role, he provides support and performs tasks associated with race and automotive events.

 

Donny Thomas ’02 has returned to SCS as an Assistant Defensive and Conditioning Coach for the Sabre football team.  He is also employed by WildWings Cafe in downtown Greenville.

 

Jennie Waller '02 graduated with an A.A. in photography in May 2006 and a B.A. in communication in December 2006.

 

Bobby Davis '03 is a member of the Guyana National Basketball Team. He is currently competing for a chance to qualify for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China representing Guyana.

 

Donna Barnett '03 is a student and a bookseller at Borders Express.

 

Daniel Basham '03 serves as youth pastor at Columbia Crossroads Church, having completed a degree in youth ministry and Christian education with a minor in psychology from Cedarville University.  He and his wife, Stephanie, were married in July 2006.

 

Ruthie Corley '03 serves at Southside Fellowship as the Director of Female Students in the church's youth ministry. Ruthie graduated from Cedarville University.

 

Jayson Cox '03 is currently serving as Private First Class in the United States Army. He is stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY and is a part of the 101st Airborne (Air Assault) Division. He married Leah Ketterman '00 in February 2007. They have 1 child.

 

Philip Ellis '03,As one who has distinguished himself by his leadership and service to fellow cadets, Philip Andrew Ellis exhibits the unselfish concern for others that exemplifies the ideals of the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award. The Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award is a bronze medallion presented by The Citadel through the New York Southern Society to students or others in recognition of high thought and noble endeavor. 
A consistent Deans’ List student, he holds the prestigious Himelright Scholarship in engineering and received the Benjamin W. Sammis Engineering Award as a junior for his leadership qualities. As a senior at The Citadel, he also developed a program to help freshmen engineering majors succeed academically by pairing them with upper-class mentors. 

 

Ellis is a civil and environmental engineering major, and attends graduate school at the University of Iowa’s Institute of Hydraulic Research.


 

Jason Fairbanks '03, majoring in international studies and philosophy at USC, has won the National Security Education Program (NSEP) Boren scholarship for undergraduate study abroad.  He will study in Egypt for the 2006 - 07 academic year.  At USC, Jason is conducting nanoscience research with Dr. Ann Johnson, an assistant professor in USC's history department, and is also conducting research with Dr. Peter Sederberg, a USC professor of political science. Jason has been vice president of Phi Sigma Tau, the philosophy honor society.

 

Sam Given '03 was deployed to Afghanistan with the SC Army National Guard one semester before graduation from The Citadel. His Infantry is working on the Afghan/ Pakistan border training Afghan border police. Sam should complete his deployment in May.

 

Andrew Stoeber '03 graduated from Clemson University and is employed with Columbia Crossroads Church as a Worship Coordinator. He and Kristi Boyd '03 were married on June 16, 2007.

 

Kristi Boyd Stoeber '03 graduated from Anderson University and is currently teaching 4th grade at Irmo Elementary School in Columbia, SC.

 

Ashley Davis '04 is a student at Liberty University.

 

Emily Fonville '04 is a student at Winthrop.

 

Amy Nowell '04 will graduate from Presbyterian College in May '08 with a degree in Biology.She is graduating as part of the Sigma Kappa Alpha Academic Honor Society, which honors students that are in the top 8% of their graduating class. Amy has been excepted to the University of Birmingham in the Fall of '08 to study for her Doctorate in Optomerty.

 

Samuel Martin '04 is a Space Camp counselor at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Florida. 

 

Jordan Marcus Roberts '04 has recently become recognized as a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda, a National Leadership and Honors Organization at Clemson University.

 

Janessa (Vandegrift) Fortner '04 and her husband, Michael, have a new baby, born October 29, 2005.  Michael is serving in Afghanistan in the U.S. Army until February 2007.

 

Kathryn Hamrick '04 is a student at USC in Columbia. 

 

Logan Bennett '05 is pursuing a BS in Business and lives in Gray Court, SC.

 

Sara Blackmon '05 is a student at Liberty University majoring in Nursing.

 

Callie Boyd '05 has been named Student Body President at Clemson University. She serves as a liaison between the Executive and Legislative branches of Student Government at the University. She serves as a voting member of the Student Senate and sits on the President's Cabinet. She is responsible for gathering outside opinion from her student advisory board, Leadership Council. Callie is pursuing a degree in Public Health Science at Clemson.  

 

Craig Goodwin '05  has been announced as a 2007 Garnet Circle Member at Erskine College. The Garnet Circle consists of the twenty-five currently enrolled students with the highest scholastic average during the previous academic year.  

 

 

Cody Fields '05 is majoring in Communications with an emphasis in journalism at North Greenville University.  He received the Editor of the Year award for the school newspaper, The Skyliner.

 

Tyler Jarratt '05 is a student at Furman University.  In the spring 2006 he went to New Orleans with Desire Street Ministries on a week-long mission trip.  He helped with construction and Bible studies.


Stephen Murray '05 is majoring in pre-med at Bob Jones University.

Jared Reubert '05 is working on a B.S. in business administration at Southern Wesleyan University.

Moe Tucker '05 is attending Greenville Technical College and works for Auto Zone.

Collins White '05 is a student at Bob Jones University working on a degree in cinematography.
